Design process & house types

We can offer an individually tailored design service for your new home, or give you the choice of one of our predesigned timber-framed houses. We work closely with Scotframe who have a large catalogue of house designs to choose from.

We can even combine both approaches, modifying an existing design to meet your exact requirements.

If you’re starting completely from scratch, we can work with everything from rough sketches to more precise artwork and plans. Or, you can just tell us what you’d like and we’ll work up a design based on your description.

Building

Once you’ve decided on the design of your new home, Orkney Builders will build it for you to the very highest of standards.

We’re NHBC registered, and can offer Buildmark Warranty on all new homes.

The project programme for your new build will be agreed prior to work commencing.

We’ll give you an honest appraisal of the time needed for the project, and keep you fully informed throughout the entire process.

The end result will be a beautiful, energy efficient and comfortable home, built with pride.
